English & Chinese
Jan. 12th, 2010 09:06 pmАнглийский язык очень похож на китайский. Многие слова означают просто понятие, которое легко используется в качестве разных частей речи в зависимости от контекста. Множество слов звучат одинаково или очень похоже и пишутся при этом по-разному. Хоть и есть какие-то правила чтения, но исключений столько, что чтение слов приходится запоминать, как и у китайских иероглифов.
English is very similar to Chinese. Many words mean just a concept and can be easily used as different parts of speech depending on context. Lots of words sound the same or very similar, but written differently. Although there are some reading rules, there are so many exceptions that one needs to remember pronunciation of words as with Chinese characters.
