Gold Coast - Darwin

I'm planning to travel by car from Gold Coast to Darwin starting around the middle or the end of May. I'll probably need to be back in a month. I'm going to stop in interesting places on the way and make side trips for sightseeing.
Anyone wants to join for the whole trip or any part?
